Schedule of MV Fantasea Ammarì Cruises

MV Fantasea Ammarì cruises the crystal waters of the Whitsundays once a week.  By the time you return you won't recognise yourself!

Until 31 March 2008, your MV Fantasea Ammarì cruise begins Sunday afternoon at 2pm when you are ferried on-board for a 3pm departure.  Your journey ends on Wednesday morning when you disembark, refreshed and renewed, on Hamilton Island.  After 1 April 2008, cruises depart at 3pm on Friday afternoon and return to Hamilton Island at 9am on Tuesday morning.  There is also the option of booking 3 night cruise and disembarking on Monday.  Note that on occasion, cruises may depart and return on different days of the week - please check the schedule for details.

World Oceans Day
Humpback Whales are regular visitors to the Marine Park where they come to mate and give birth.
Dwarf Minke Whales are found in the Ribbon Reefs, playing and approaching boats.
Activities involving Minke Whales are permitted and regulated by the GBRMPA.
Large numbers of Pelicans nest on islands during the winter months. Pelicans are the largest seabird, but can also be the most sensitive to human activity. Entire colonies have been known to desert their nests when disturbed.

Sea temps can rise between 1 & 1.5% higher than regular summer maximums during January. Scientists at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) are monitoring sea surface temps to predict coral bleaching events.

Blue Tang (Parachanthus hepatus), have been observed aggregating to spawn in the late afternoons.
